Summer is winding down. Soon I will back at work and the kids will be back at school...back to early bedtimes and early rising...back to routines and homework...back to making lunches and regular grocery shopping...back to activities and full calenders...no more pj days, sandcastles, swimming...no more America's Got Talent...no more checking for peas in the garden and long bike rides out back...no more lazy breakfasts and Polly Pockets spread out in the playroom... I think I will have a hard time saying goodbye to Summer '09. It has been amazing and full and fun. We made the most of our time with a good mix of at home time and vacations, of friends and family. The weather wasn't the best but we still had fun. We managed to get some projects done around the house and did a big road trip for the first time. Yes, it will be hard to say goodbye, but I am going to enjoy the photos and memories.
The last couple of days have been spent at home doing tie-dye, playing outside, making clay creations, watching iCarly and setting up our new homework area in the playroom. My favorite thing is just enjoying our time together. I really have to start planning for work, but I'm just not ready to let go yet...there are still a few days left...a few more sleep-ins, walks outside, sprinklers to run in, projects to finish....
Have a wonderful day!
