Shopping went well yesterday. We lucked out with alot of sales and even Tyler managed to have fun...shopping is never one of his favorite things!
I enjoyed having a day with them so much...a day with no schedule...a day to enjoy a slow lunch...a day to laugh together...a day to remember the abundance around us. The kids got along really well and I just sat back and marvelled at how they are growing up so fast. When I return to work in Sept. some things are going to change so I am going to savour ever second of this summer.
Today I am looking forward to a long walk out back, finishing up the teacher thank-you cards/gifts (the kids each painted a little water-color card for their teachers and bus driver) and maybe playing in the sprinkler. Whatever the day brings, life is good.
After reading a post by Jody http://jodyferlaak.blogspot.com/ I am inspired to list some of my favorite things from yesterday....................lunch at Denny's (Rennie's!!); finding the right amount of pens in my purse to make all the kids happy; the nice people in the customer service line at Canadian Tire (the wait was very long); the smell of freshly cut grass; watching Camp Rock for the 20th time with the girls; Tyler dancing in the living room while we watched; playing with Tyler on his new Wii game; listening to Abby laugh like crazy as she played too; Grace's hair after her bath-it smelled so good; clean pjs on clean kids tucked in after a great day; peppermint tea in my favorite mug to end my day.
Wow....I have alot to be thankful for!
