Summer in Selkirk means the Fair and Rodeo comes to town. Yesterday we bummed around the park with Cynthia and her beautiful girls and then headed for some Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream. We were out until 10:30 and after an afternoon of swimming and then the time at the fair the kids were very tired.....made for a smooth bedtime! This morning we headed to the parade...a tradition since I was a kid. Small town and not much to it, but, it was wonderful sitting with my girls and sharing the time with the community. It wasn't quite the same without Tyler but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.
An afternoon and evening by the pool and visiting with Murray's family was a great way to beat the heat...it was to get up to 33'...melting weather. The girls are swimming so good and had such a great time in the pool.
The day is finishing up with big bowls of popcorn, air conditioning and big blankets while watching Wizard of Oz.
Tomorrow is Sunday, but it doesn't really matter because each day in the summer is the same....wonderful!
