Finding My Way

Well, I did it.  I went into work today.  I picked up my keys and my mail, headed down to the nursery school, and then wandered around my room for about 20 minutes getting re-acquainted with the space and trying to make a plan.  There was so much to do I couldn't seem to figure out where to start!  Once I got into the groove I was fine, and, even though I didn't think it would be, it was okay to be there.  To be away from my kids after 2 months of being together pretty much every minute was okay.  The best part was once I got home they were so happy to see me!  I guess they haven't had a chance to miss me for awhile b/c I am always there....it felt good to get such a warm greeting!
This evening we went and registered the girls for dance classes which will start later in Sept.  I am quite excited for them....I am happy to see how much they are looking forward to doing dance with their friends and I am looking forward to visiting with the other Moms!
I have been going through our pictures from the summer....what a big job!  I took a lot of pictures and I am so glad I did.  We are not big on purchasing souvenirs...I am trying to de-clutter not re-clutter....you only need so many coffee mugs!  I love how each picture brings stories and memories to mind...sometimes we all have different memories from the same photo.  I wonder what the kids will remember...what will stand out from our summer adventures when they look at the pictures?
The square on the calender for tomorrow is blank and I am so excited by this!  It is likely going to be raining for most of the day so I am hoping to stay home, bake something yummy with my kids, maybe play a game or two and try not to think about the first day of school next week!
