~~~The Queen~~~
When I was about 10 years old I was fascinated with the Royal Family.  I created scrapbooks with newspaper clippings, magazine stories and anything else I could get a hold of.  When Princess Diana died I stayed up all night, with my new baby Tyler in my arms, to watch the funeral.  I cried as I watched her boys walking behind the casket.
Today I was thrilled to share space with the Queen of England...what a great afternoon it was.  She was in Winnipeg and we headed out to the Forks to catch a glimpse.  The best part was that Murray came with us.  Crowds are not really his favourite thing...and for him to be a part of this many people on a day when thundershowers were forecast really showed me that he got how important this was to me....and I love him for that.
We had a great time together...enjoyed some smoothies and sat in the sun.  The Prime Minister was there too, quite a thrill for Tyler and I.  Even though we didn't see them close up, we shared some space with them and shared the experience with a lot of other people and it was cool.  Even the walk back to the car in the rain didn't dampen my spirits.  It was a great day with my family and I have some cool memories to add to my scrapbook!
