My week off will end tomorrow.....it has gone so fast and makes me worried that summer is going to go just as fast. I will try to live in the moment, soak it all up, and not worry about the time passing. We have a lot of fun stuff planned and our trip to Toronto has everyone quite excited.
I spent most of Monday shopping and cleaning the house. It was nice to spend the morning browsing around different stores without a big, stressful list. I stopped into the nursery school on my way to Winnipeg and I almost cried. I take so much pride in that classroom and in the process of the end of the year clean-up it gets turned upside down and it breaks my heart to see it like that. Next week I will hopefully get some time in there to get it back to normal and begin planning for next year.
Tuesday was spent at home....what a wonderful day! I did a few clean-up jobs and tried to relax. It seems crazy but that is really hard for me! Wednesday I went for groceries and had a wonderful surprise when one of the cashiers offered me a 10% off coupon and it saved me $29! I was so thankful to her....she is the mother of one of my oldest friends and is a wonderful women. That afternoon I had 2 hour long phone conversations with 2 very good friends...those calls really made my day. There is never enough time to make the connections I would like, but those calls made me laugh, cry, brainstorm, listen and vent...it was great, and well overdue!
Today was a fabulous day on a field trip with my little peanut and her grade 2 class....what a treat to spend the day with some great Moms, a wonderful teacher and some amazing kids. My favourite thing from the day that had me shaking my head, was the way the kids would start running, each one following the other with no idea where they were going!
Tomorrow I will do some shopping, pick up Tyler's birthday cake, clean out the camper and get the house ready for the big sleep-over party. I hope it doesn't rain...I hope the boys have fun....I hope I get some sleep...I hope Movie Gallery has Ferris Beuller for me!
Cheers to a great day.....
