Life has a way of telling you to slow down when you might need it the most....I was supposed to return to work today to start my clean-up of the nursery school but instead Abby needed to stay home from school with a sore throat and cough so I changed my plans. Truth is I'm not feeling 100% either and welcomed the day to stay home and work on some paper work, clean out some files and make a plan for the week. I still have plenty of time to finish up everything before the end of June.
Our weekend was fun....full of kids, food and even some sun yesterday! Tyler's sleepover party was a great success even though we had to adjust our plans with the rain and chilly weather. The boys had fun running around the yard and exploring and then came in to watch You-Tube videos on the tv (thankfully Tyler can hook up the iPod to the tv rather than all of them trying to fit around the laptop screen!). I so enjoyed watching them laugh at the goofy stuff on the screen.....the things that 13 year old boys laugh at amazes me!! I'm not a big fan of sitting in front of 'screens' all the time, but it was good clean fun that they were all enjoying. They slept inside rather than in the camper, stayed up until 1:30, had pancakes for breakfast and had a bit of time outside in the morning before pick-up time. Tyler was tired once it was over!
Abby and Grace both had friends over on Sunday. Papa came and tried to fix the quad. We had steak, ceaser salad and cheese biscuits for supper. Our dryer is still broken (at least the sun is out to help me dry the clothes!). The kids have 2 more weeks of school. Life is good!
Cheers to a great day.....
