There was an email joke thing that went around a while ago...a story about a husband and wife watching tv in the evening after the kids were asleep. The wife deceides to head to bed and goes on to do about 100 chores on the way...laundry, signing permission slips, packing snacks in the lunch, cleaning up the beading activity from after school, checking a few emails, etc. About an hour and a half pass and as she is folding the last of the laundry, her husband gets up from the couch and announces he is going to bed...and, he does. She finishes her 'chores' and finally goes to bed too!
My life is like that joke....but mine is real!! I can't go to bed unless the kitchen is clean, laundry is done and everything is ready for the next day. I hate starting a new day with a mess left over from the day before. It is like being behind before you even start....yuck!
When Murray is ready for bed, he goes, and is usually asleep within minutes. I love that about him and I wish I could be more like that. He is focused and is not easily distracted by 'stuff' around him. One thing he always does though is get the coffee pot ready for morning brewing....and I love that about him too. I do a million other things to make life flow for this family, but, at 6:45 am his job of providing fresh coffee is definitely the most important!
Gratitude for today....fresh coffee and a wonderful husband to provide it! A clean kitchen....and 24 on the PVR ready to watch. Life is good!
