Life goes fast...time doesn't stop, or even wait, so it is important to stay in the moment and pay attention. I haven't been doing too good with that so it is time for a new plan! Time to stop worrying and start trusting...time to stop waiting and start doing...time to count the blessing and just believe.

Today is Saturday, and it will be a day for sleeping in (check!), drinking a full cup of hot coffee (check!), planting some flowers, making some birthday cards, getting rid of some dust bunnies, saying goodbye to about 4 lbs of paper that has piled on my desk (how does that happen?!) and setting up my plans for our SUMMER 2009 Journal.

The birds have been singing all morning...what a great way to wake up. Last night while Abby, Tyler and I were in my office figuring out how to use iTunes we saw some deer walking through our front yard. There was an adult deer and her baby (foal, fawn?...I'll just call her Bambi!). The adult deer we have seen a couple of times, the poor thing has a hurt front leg and can only walk on 3 legs. This is the first time we have seen the baby, they were walking together and the baby kept waiting for the Mom. It was so sad to think that the Mom might not survive, she was really struggling to walk. At one point they stopped in the front trees, very close to the road (yikes!) and the Mom was snuggling with the little one and licking her head. It was heartbreaking as a mother to see her trying to take care of the little one when she was obviously struggling so much. I hope we see them again and that they are okay. Tyler was quite upset and kept walking away from the window...he is so sensitive.

Grace is calling...she rarely walks downstairs in the morning by herself, she seems to like to have an escort! Abby and Tyler are looking for some breakfast and I must get the garbage out.

Time to start this day......
