Today was a great day. We spent the morning relaxing at home, trying to get ready to go shopping. The kids were so excited to be on holidays...they actually got along good and played while I cleaned up a bit. We left for Winnipeg shortly before noon, the roads were icy and snowy and I was so grateful to have Murray driving. A stop for Tim's coffee and bagels made the ride feel shorter and we eventually made it to Polo Park. Alot of walking, people watching, change rooms, clothes that didn't fit, a few presents bought, seasame chicken to share and haircuts for the guys made for a fun day. We stopped for snacks at Sobey's and then came home and decorated the Christmas tree. It was a fun night...alot of memories came flooding in with each decoration that came out of the box. I was quiet and loved watching and listening to the kids as they got silly and made up stories about each ornament they placed on the tree. Each one was wearing their Santa hat, Grace was singing and they were all excited to have Pepsi to drink. Good times for sure!

I am planning on starting a 52 projects plan in the new year...I came it across it on a blog. I really want to get back into scrapbooking and would love to incorporate journalling more into my daily routine. I need to find a way to focus and make sense of who and I am what my plan is. I really want to do a better job of keeping track of what is going on around here too. Things are happening very quickly....stuff piles up....the kids grow and change...I don't want any of it to get past me. I want to participate and remember!

I am happy to have 2 weeks off. I hope I can get everything done that I want to. I am grateful for the day we had today. I am looking forward to a day at home tomorrow.
