Here is what $255 worth of groceries looks like....not too impressive, I mean, for that much money there should be more bags!! I really thought it would be more of a 'WOW....look at all that food' when I took the picture, but, now that I look at it, it really doesn't seem like much!!
I have to admitt I enjoy grocery shopping...especially when some combination of the kids are with me. Grace likes to hang on the cart, Tyler always has a Lego guy with him to play with (he makes him climb on the boxes and do 'missions' around the food!), and Abby is always helping cross things off the list and remembering the things I forget! I should take some pictures of them next time.
I am off to volunteer today. It is nice to be getting back into a rountine now that Abby is feeling better. She starts volleyball today and is quite excited. I am so glad she is feeling better.
Tyler is going on a weekend retreat with Cadets in March. He is going to have so much fun and I am so proud of him for feeling ready to do something like this. I am glad we haven't pushed sleepovers and stuff on him when he wasn't ready, now he feels confident to go and he should have a good time. Sam and Daniel will be with him so that should help.
Grace was full of tears before school today, she didn't want to go. It takes everything I have in my 'patience' tool box to help her through that while also making lunches and getting Tyler and Abby ready for school too. This was a good morning until, with 3 minutes to bus time we couldn't find Grace's hat....it was almost enough to push everyone's emotions over the top, but we managed to get another hat that was acceptable and we all made it outside in time. I really think it would help if we had a bigger area to get ready in, but, then, there would likely be something else to cause us grief!! In the end it is all good......
